Oil painting on panel, An Unknown Lady, once called Catherine Parr and then Katherine Vaux, Lady Throckmorton, English School, inscribed top left: Ao. DNI. 1576. Once called Catherine Parr, a kinswoman of the Throckmorton family and then Katharine, daughter of Lord Vaux and wife of George Throckmorton, a kinswoman of Catherine Parr. A head-and-shoulders portrait, facing, wearing ruff, grey-embroidered dress, black surcoat with aglets in black embroidered dress and embroidered muslin chemisette and lace ruff.
