Summary
A satinwood table or stand for a chocolate service, English, circa 1790. The hard-paste chocolate service NT 135123 and comprising a tray (the same shape as the table top), two cups and saucers, a sugar basin and cover, a bowl, a plate and a chocolate pot, marked 'LL' for the Valenciennes Porcelain Factory, France, c. 1787-93. Exhibited at the Art Treasures of Warwickshire Exhibition of 1851. The stand's top a lobed and cusped quatrefoil, on four 'C'-scroll legs joined by a concave-sided shelf stretcher. Inlaid with ebony lines.

Purchased by National Trust in 2005 through private treaty sale.
