Summary

A kingwood and crossbanded bureau plat, French, circa 1750. The serpentine top fitted with a leather writing surface and edged with moulded ormolu with leafy corner clasps. The quarter-veneered frieze fitted with three drawers and raised on cabriole legs with ormolu mounts.

Purchased by National Trust in 2004 through private treaty sale
