Summary
A walnut armoire, South German, last half of the 17th century with some later alterations. The moulded cornice topped by four finials and a central carved mount above a foliate carved frieze. Fitted with a pair of doors, each with architectural portico panels headed by scroll pediments centred by masks, flanked and divided by spirally-turned pilasters, panelled base.

Purchased by National Trust in 2005 through private treaty sale.
