Summary
Tray, hard paste porcelain, square form with lobed rim, Valenciennes Porcelain Factory, France, ca 1787-93; to the centre in a circular reserve with gilt border is a grisaille enamel painting of a boy and girl, the reserve surrounded by a ground pattern of gilt vermiculation, with an enamel painted border of pink roses, green leaves on a black ground to the edge of the well, with a further gilt scalloped border pattern to the rim.
