Summary
Dessert service, soft paste porcelain, comprising plates, sauce tureens and covers, and serving dishes in a variety of shapes, probably decorated at the James Giles workshop, London, made by the Worcester Porcelain Factory, ca 1770-75; the service is decorated with an underglaze blue ground with gilt bands of both fruiting vines and anthemion, overglaze enamel painted Classical urns and flowers on each piece.

First period Worcester dessert service - Centres painted in colours with festooned vases and detached flowersprays, wide dark blue borders, waved and gilt with vines and inner band of anthemion medallions and scrolls. 39 circular side plates
