Summary
Waistcoat - Part of a coatee and waistcoat, made from red napped wool with dark blue facings and cuffs with cream silk satin lining to the bodice cotton lining to the sleeves and blue glazed wool lining to the skirts. It is decorated with gold lace down the front on the collar, cuffs and back skirts. it bas bastion loops on cuffs and centre-back, it fastens with 36 large gilt button 'PS Firmin, Strand London and 13 Conduit street'. The buttons have 'GR' surmounted by kings crown. made to resemble an infantry coatee of the 1780's. Waistcoat of cream napped wool, with same button fastenings. (theatrical)
