Summary
Coin; Sixpence - One of three coins contained in a knitted fully beaded purse. The upper half is of clear beads with a design of flowers in red, yellow, blue, black and green leaves. The lower half has green and turqouise beads in a star design. There is a black beaded knot on the base and no base. It is lined with chamois leather. Inside is a torn off paper 'This purse and money belonged to my little darling Mary Elizabeth. She died on the 4th of October 1847'. There is a sixpence dated 1834, a Spanish coin of 1780 and a British coin of 1820. She is said to have died at the age of 10. (female)
