Summary
Coat - Part of a coat and waistcoat made from grey silk with a small all over pattern. The lining is of linen and cream silk taffeta with later additions of cream silk and pink and yellow striped silk. There is a lining of pale blue linen. The edges are embroidered in silver purl, silver, red and green sequins and gold coloured silk with a design of trailing stems, leaves and flowers. The coat fastens with 2 metal eyes. There are large flat wooden buttons covered first in linen, top covered in silver foil and coloured sequins in simple flower shape and silver purl. The waistcoat buttons are a smaller version of the coat buttons. Drastically altered. (male)
