Summary
Waistcoat made from green striped satin brocade with straw corded stripes and stripes of silver plate between each corded stripe. The back is of glazed wool twill. The facings are cream silk twill and the lining of cream flanelette. The buttons are woven in silver plate and purl. It has been let out at the sides. 'Richard Dunscomb' is written in the inside left forepart. Attached to the waistcoat was a handwritten label 'Waistcoat (c.1790) of James Massey of Clanorald, Co. Limerick, grandfather of Mrs Dunscombe of Mount Desert, Co. Cork lent by Mrs Desmond Hartley (nee Dunscombe), March '33'. (male)
