Summary
Dress petticoat - Made of sky blue silk satin 432 mm (17 in) wide, quilted with matching silk thread. Lined with stone white glazed wool, 660 mm (26 in) wide. Two dark threads in selvedge. Interlining fleece. 7 panels pleated into a narrow silk waistband, with 102 mm (4 in) centre front panel, aand knife pleats facing from centre front back towards the sides. Hem and openings faced with matching silk ribbon. Tiny patch pocket on front right hand side, near waistband. Quilted in a design of large swags with tassels and bows below, cornucopiae and pineapple above, with a narrow wavy border, leaves and flowers. Two 228 mm (9 in) side openings with remains of original ribbon tie. (dress)
