Summary
Dress petticoat - Made of pale fawn silk satin 445 mm (17.5 in) wide. Quilted in matching silk thread. Lined with cream glazed wool. Interlining fleece. Cut in 6 widths. Hem and side openings faced with toning linen ribbon. Quilted with wavy zigzag lines, stylized flowers at lower edge, and a narrow border of swags. Waistband missing. Fastened at sides. Has been unpicked from waistband and probably unworn. (dress) Quilted petticoat of oyster silk satin. Quilting carried out with silk stitching in a zigzag design with stylised flower and a border of swags along the lower edge.
