Summary
Dress petticoat - Made of silk, 762 mm (30 in wide). Sky blue ground with cream ribbed stripes and brocaded floral sprays in cream, green, red and pink. Lined with dark blue-grey glazed wool. Centre with flat panel and knife pleats. Sides - gathered by drawstrings. Back knife pleated. The silk extends to the waistband at the front only, the lining is exposed for 152 mm (6 in) at the back and sides. Trimmed with 2 furbelows at front hem - 813 mm (32 in) x 114 mm (4.5 in) with 3 rows of padded puffs, and above - 710 mm (28 in) x 250 mm (10 in) with 2 rows of padded puffs. Both edged in braid. Fastened with drawstrings at sides. Has been altered with a tuck at centre back.
