Summary
Frock coat - Made of finely striped, lichen green and shot pink silk. Lined with cream silk patched with white cotton. Interlining of heavy linen. Shoulders and chest padded with cotton wadding held in place with twilled cotton fabric. Collar faced with blue and white striped silk. Front line only slightly cut away. Stepped stand-fall collar. waist seam. Welted pockets with deep scalloped flaps. 4 pieces to back, narrows at waist. Centre flap with tackover. Double pleat in place of side vents. Moderately loose shaped sleeves with deep round cuff, now sew down to sleeve. Trimmed with frogging to either side of front opening on cuffs and pockets - made of hand-knotted pink and blue silk cord. Buttons of same cord. No fastenings. Has been patched with the same fabric.
