Summary
Waistcoat made from silk tissue, with a small overall design of zigzag stripes of bronze and cream and rings of rust and black. Lining mainly of natural linen. Edges faced with cream satin. Interlining of copper-brown glazed wool and hessian behind buttons and buttonholes. Cut with same fabric back and front. Front collarless. Foreparts cut back. Overlapping side vents. Pockets with 'v' shaped opening and deep 'v' shape flaps buttoned. Back shorter than foreparts. Centre vent. Buttonholes have twist of 3 colours - red, breen and cream. 14 small wooden self-covered buttons centre front, with cut buttonholes from neck to jsut below point of divergence. 3 buttons on each pocket, 3 buttonholes on flap, the centre one uncut.
