Summary
Jacket; Caraco - Ivory rib silk with woven satin stripes in pink and pale green. Satin stripes damasked with meandering small leaf design and tiny dots in ivory. Ribbed stripes with brocaded strip of small flowers and leaves in two shades of pink and green. Fully lined with green glazed wool (camlet?), green. Fitted bodice, opening centre front with square neckline. Waist seam at front coming to a point below the waist. Straight, set-in sleeves to elbow, with pointed cuff of same fabric. 2 back panels continuing into skirt. Back of skirt very flared with inverted box pleat centre back, held in place with a few stitches. Cuff edged with pleated silk ribbon. Front bodice edged with silk braid with tufts of coloured silk. 3 pairs of strong cotton tapes handing from inside waist. 21 round wire hooks and eyes on front bodice, from neck to waist. Unaltered.
