Summary
Dress; Open robe - Sky grey silk taffeta. Bodice and part of the sleeves lined with bleached linen. Hem faced with cream fine silk. Bodice closed, fitted, centre front to below waist. Wide square neckline. Back in 4 sections, each joined to lining before assembling. Centre back seam boned. Sleeve small pleats at head, narrow, elbow length. Small cuff, shaped around elbow. Skirt 4 widths cut separately from bodice. Joined to bodice with small knife pleats from side front. 2 pocket slits. Cuff edges bound cream silk ribbon. Cotton tape drawstring at neck. Evidence of pinning on front of bodice. Bodice and skirt have been restyled. (female)
