Summary
Small box in the form of a two wheeled cart in cardboard covered with shells. Wooden frame and handles. Handwritten label inside box 'Bought on Yarmouth Beach c.1890 with coloured straw animal and rattle. The straw work was made and sold by Gypsies'. In notebook no.5, page 56 (1340945.5) Charles Wade refers to: 'Seventh Heaven no.197 Shell Cart. Plaited Straw animal. & Rattle by Gypsies & sold on Yarmouth Beach. c.1890'. Sketch of cart included.

bought on Yarmouth beach c.1890. Given to the National Trust with Snowshill Manor in 1951 by Charles Paget Wade.
