Summary
Gunner's Quadrant. Brass. Inscribed with degrees and maker, 'Adams, Charing Cross'. English, late 18th century. Hanging line with weight (bob) to indicate angle. In notebook no.2, page 8 (1340945.2) Charles Wade refers to: 'Admiral 20. Instrument for reading angles of heavy brass. There is a space for the 'Bob' in base. Adams Charing Cross'. Includes sketch with dimensions.
