Summary
Black and white portrait photograph on a postcard of two actors in a scene from a play. The man, dressed in a dark coat with wide lapels over a waistcoat and a lacy cravat, is standing behind a table and holding a feather or quill pen. The woman, wearing a maid's costume, is seated, hand out to take the feather. Printed below, 'Miss Gertrude Elliot & Mr. Forbes Robertson in "Mice and Men"'. Also, ' No. 362' and J.B. & Co.' and in the bottom left of the picture 'Copyright Window & Grove'. Same series as 1337201, and the woman is the same as in 1337238 & 1337239. Gertrude Elliott was an American, married to Forbes Robertson. The play "Mice and Men" was written by Madeleine Lucette Ryley.
