Summary
Portait miniature, watercolour on card, Mary Constance 'Connie' Wade (1884-1942), British (English) School, 1889. Oval. Head and shoulders portrait of a young girl, facing, gazing at the spectator, wearing a white smock with an angular lace collar. Brown eyes, thick brown hair, probably aged five. In a glazed, oval frame with gold edge. Inset into maroon velvet surround, with two folding sides so it can be closed, all covered in padded navy-coloured leather, has small catch at base of left side. Fold-out stand on the back.

Given to the National Trust with Snowshill Manor in 1951 by Charles Paget Wade.
