Summary
Tambourine by Button and Purday, London, 1807/08. Marked 'Button and Purday, 75 St Paul's Churchyard, London'. Painted with flowers. Five pairs of jingles and thumbhole with ivory collar. Inside has a lighter green background. Six tensioning screw, attach to upper side of holes in rim. In notebook no.4, page 7 (1340945.4) Charles Wade refers to: 'Music Room 84. Tambourine. Painted flowers by Button & Purday, S. Pauls Churchyard c.1830.'
