Summary
Concert flute by William Henry Potter , London, c.1820. Marked 'WILLm HENRY POTTER, JOHNSON’S COURT, FLEET STREET, LONDON'. Boxwood with ivory mounts. Eight round silver keys with pewter sinkers. Five sections. Copper-lined head joint. Fitted with detachable side-blowing mouthpiece with metal plaque inscribed 'PATENT W. WHEATSTONE, 128 PALL MALL, No: 1631'. In notebook no.4, page 10 (1340945.4) Charles Wade refers to: 'Music Room 105. Flute by Potter.'
