Summary
Iron cash (?) box with hinged lid painted green on the outside and orange inside. The box had two inscribed plaques reading 'Hawkes and Co. 14 Picadilly London'. The other reads 'D.L. Hartley ESQ. Yorkshire Key'. Contains cotton wool and rag dusters.
Provenance
Given to the National Trust with Snowshill Manor in 1951 by Charles Paget Wade.
