Summary

Persian incense ball, pierced brass floral decoration to each half. Two hinged hemispheres held with a hook catch, open to reveal three suspended ring gimbals to keep the small burner vessel in the centre upright.

Provenance

Given to the National Trust with Snowshill Manor in 1951 by Charles Paget Wade.
