Summary
Fifty-six-minute sand glass. Wooden frame with five turned pillars and circular ends. The glass bulbs are seated on textile cushions and joined with a central wax junction. Unsigned, perhaps late 18th century. In notebook no.2, page 26 (1340945.2) Charles Wade refers to: 'Admiral 90. Sand Glass. half hour, old green glass, the earlier ones have the glass mark in two separate flanged sections, bound together.' Includes sketch with dimensions.
