Summary
Eight day English 'Tavern Clock' movement, face signed 'King, Woodbridge', c.1805. Convex enamel dial with arabic numerals repainted 1973, mounted on bracket 1973, case missing. Attachment brackets at the four quadrants of the face. One winding hole, three ornate hands. Winding key present. Brass pendulum on steel shaft. Single iron cylinder weight on a brass pulley in a loop of cord. Movement encased in a metal frame stamped 'B Wright(?) & Co.'. In notebook no.4, page 108 (1340945.4) Charles Wade refers to: 'Mizzen 80. Old Wall Clock iron dial slightly convex, enamelled matt white, graceful hands. 8 day movement by King Woodbridge Suffolk' Includes sketch with dimensions.
