Summary
Thirty hour striking wall clock, with movement which is wooden, by T White, Witney, c.1740. Single hand count wheel, some other wheels and hand cord weights and pendulum replaced, 1979. 'This clock with its movement of apple wood is the only known example by White, and came from Wilcote Manor near Witney. The wooden dial is divided into quarter hours for a single hand. Mr Wade describes this item in Notebook 4: Old Stair item number 38.
