Summary
An oak chest, English, circa 1630. The hinged plank lid with three locks and an additional iron eye and hook for a padlock, the front with four panels, both sides with one, all centred with a raised lozenge shaped boss within a raised cherrywood moulded frame, on stile feet. CPW Item 1 Illustrated (Unicorn) - 'Oak Chest panelled front. Plain top. 3 locks'.
