Summary
A leather, pony hide and studded trunk, English, circa 1800. By James of London. The domed lid has studded initials I H, the sides have iron handles, the interior is lined with newspaper and hand-written notes describing a naval fight with the Spanish. Label to underside of lid 'James / Military Trunk Maker / Coventry Street / London'. CPW Item 31 (Unicorn) - Hair Trunk. James. Military Trunk maker. Coventry St. Good engraved label. Arms Geo III.
