Summary
Black and red circular box made of interwoven fibre construction. It is in poor condition with paint flaking. It is suggested on the inventory card that this is a box for storing Betel (a popular plant grown in Asia and chewed along with the areca nut or tobacco). CPW Item 90 - 'Large Circular Box. From Ceylon. Blk and red.'
