Summary
One of a pair of cards for wool, made of wood. One side covered with leather. Large number of scratch pins pierced through it and projecting and the leather tacked to the wood. Many scratch pins missing leaving holes in the leather. Wooden handle. This one repaired with two leather strips nailed across the break. In notebook no.4, page 101 (1340945.4) Charles Wade refers to: 'Weavers Room 30. Pair of Cards for wool, of wood covered with leather in to which a large number of thin wires are fixed.'. Includes sketch.
