Summary
A pietra dura and ebony architectural cabinet, Italian, Florence, circa 1630-1670. The arched pediment has brass finials and balustrades and a small plinth on which stands a bronze figure of a warrior. Twelve drawers with ornate metal lock plates,around a central breakfront door flanked by projecting Composite columns. The door opening to a further six small drawers, all mounted symmetrically with various polychrome panels mostly inset with geometric and floral designs, including Breccia Rossa, Breccia dorata, Alabastro di Busca, Giallo di Siena, Lapis lazuli. The door depicts a vase of flowers. All on an ebonised plinth.

Given to the National Trust with Snowshill Manor in 1951 by Charles Paget Wade.
