Summary
Cylindrical bamboo fibre box in two sections, each with a tray. Painted red throughout, additional bands in a serrated design in gold on the outer side. Lid - side, red band at top, then gold, serrated design; top faded and damaged pattern on a dark red ground with black lines around. Orange interior. Sleeve centre section - red band at top supports lid, then wider side has gold ground with red floral pattern and black and red bands above and below. Gold serrated pattern around base. Underneath recessed relative to side. Both interiors painted orange. This section contains a circular tray with lip. Outside painted black. Interior and lip painted red. Sleeve base - at top, gold bands with black line decoration then a red band. This section indented to hold the centre section. Wider side has gold and red serrated banding, followed by a red, serrated pattern, then a red and black banded section which slopes outward. Underneath, wide red edge and gold background with black rings and a red floral decoration in the centre. Interior painted orange. This section also contains a circular tray with lip. Outside painted black. Interior and lip painted red.
