Summary

Persian fall front wooden box of four drawers, one long top one, and three smaller ones below, each with a small, drop handle. The outside decorated with an intricate pattern of abalone shell. Fronts of drawers and inside fall front decorated with painted flowers. Metal lock plate on front, and two small drop handles. Hinges are pieces of canvas. Single metal carrying handle ot the top. In poor condition.

C.W 252 Given to the National Trust with Snowshill Manor in 1951 by Charles Paget Wade.
