Summary
An oak hanging food or livery cupboard, English, circa 1640. The front with upper gallery of cherry spindles and three fielded panels below, the central section a door with lock, all on moulded plinth and with a moulded top. Inside, a central shelf. In notebook no.1, page 64 (1340945.1) Charles Wade refers to: 'Meridian 11. Bread Cupd.upper panels with closely set spindles. Beviled (sic) panels below. of oak. early 18th.cent.' Includes sketch with dimensions.
