Summary
Sword; Katana (Japanese word), blade signed Ujinobu, a smith of Gammaku school of Mino province, 16th century, tsuba (inventoried separately 1328851/SNO.A.245) covered with lacquered leather. Steel blade with copper ferrule and one brass spacer. Wooden handle covered with cream fish skin and brown textile webbing. Two circular iron menukis, one to each side. Wooden scabbard with textured lacquer in black and brown (possibly skin). Strap loop.
