Summary
Steel Indo-Persian helmet, with lotus flower design in relief and two plume holders. Between them, a sliding nose guard with lotus decoration and flattened finials; top of slide mirrors the guard. Top damaged, rings for chain mail around rim, mail missing. 'One of six Qajar or Top helmets, 'Kula- khud'. Late 18th to early 19th century. Bought from Leo. Pratt, Persian armour £10, 1938' (M. Jessup).
