Summary
Steel Indo-Persian helmet, painted roundel decoration, blue, green and gold. two plume attachments, sliding nasal guard with screw to hold it, shaped spike finial. Full chain mail neck guard, steel and copper links. Previously recorded as having a cotton quilted detachable lining but this is not present as of April 2009. 'One of six Qajar or Top helmets, 'Kula- khud'. Late 18th to early 19th century. Bought from Leo. Pratt, Persian armour £10, 1938' (M. Jessup). Ferrous metal.
