A suit of Samurai armour consisting of a Helmet (Kabuto), a mask (Mempo), missing its nose, attached throatguard (Nodowa), two shoulder guards (Stode), a pair of sleeves (Kote) a curiass (Do), thigh armour (Haidate) and shin guards (Suneate).

Charles Paget Wade's notebook entry no. 391 (1340945.3 / sno.misc.959.3): 'Suit of Armour. of Vermillion & gold lacquer. Helmet with small gold rings & gold neck guard braided blue. Blazon of the Feudal Prince SEN-DAI Body piece of red & gold lacquer with lower part ‘comb’ gold lacquer braided blue. Tassets of the same. Shoulder guards of vermillion lacquer plates braided blue. of small size. The sleeves blue & gold brocade with mail chain & gilded plates. apron blue brocade & red & gold lacquer plaques. Leg guards red lacquer & chain. Mask. Sword in brown lacquer sheath. fr.Cheltenham (two sketches of detail alongside).'
