Charles Paget Wade notebook entry: 'Japanese Armour. Helmet of 28 plates. Small wings. Crest of interlaced diamonds. (sketch of crest here) Thick horizontal body plates lacquered brown matt. Mask, mail sleeves apron & leg pieces. braided blue.fr. Cambridge.'
