Summary
Sword; Rapier. Curved, cup-shaped metal hand guard where blade meets hilt. Corrosion holes in cup. Finial end to hilt and curved bar connecting end of hilt to cup. Two thin quillions extending from cup forming a crossguard. groove down length of blade. Potentially Portuguese c.1600? CPW Item number 45 (Dragon).
