Summary
Oil painting on canvas, Trees and a Path by Margaret Tudor L. R. Tudor (d. 1969), early-mid 20th century. View from a path running through a wooded area with undergrowth to the left and right in the foreground and tall elm and possibly oak trees close to the end of the path in the middleground. The path opens onto a field with a band of trees visible in the distance. Brown, pink and yellow tones predominate and the subject of the scene is the effect of a hazy late afternoon or early evening sunlight. The brushwork is loose and the paint is thickly applied. The style is impressionistic.
