Full description
A view of one half of a building from the garden looking back towards the rear of the house. A tennis net can partially be seen in the foreground at the far left. The lawn slopes up towards the house and there are pink and white flowers to the right of the half-open double doors. A bay window projects out from the left side of the house and a low hedge runs beyond at the left. The roofs of other houses can be seen in the distance on the left and beyond them a dark grey church tower. The sky is grey and heavy with rain clouds.
Provenance
Previously brought to the property by May Tudor, mother of Ursula Tudor Perkins (Jarvis); purchased by the National Trust with the house and gardens from Mrs Ursula Tudor Perkins with the help of a grant from the NHMF in 1990.
