Oil painting on canvas, View through the Open Door of Orford Church looking down the Path by Eugenie Matilda Fortier, grandmother of Mrs Tudor Perkins, (Ottawa 1856 - Hawkhurst, Kent 1952), probably 1930s. A view taken during the Summertime from the interior of the church of St Bartholomew at Orford, Suffolk. The arched doorway has a moulded dripstone above and frames the view out onto the sunlit path where there is grass in the foreground to the left and mature trees in the distance. Bought to A La Ronde by May Tudor, mother of Mrs Tudor Perkins.
