This Parminter family silhouette was drawn in black and white ink by Francis Torond (1742-1812), a Huguenot refugee from France. The picture is dated 1783 and shows Jane and Elizabeth Parminter at far left. Jane is depicted standing, watering a potted plant while Elizabeth is shown seated, using a wooden bobbin winder (see NT 1312587).
