Full description
Polychromy panels, part of the scheme comprised of painted canvas panels, wooden panels and painted woodwork forming a frieze and decorative scheme in the Cartoon Gallery. Some may be part of the Paul Issakson scheme, some by Houderoy working in the Cartoon Gallery in 1723. The flower paintings on canvas in the frieze came into the gallery later (there by 1723) but it is not known who painted them. Panels are located on the South Wall, in the South Wall Alcove, the West Wall alcove and either side of the fireplace.
