Summary
One of a set of architectural drawings for Tatton, this part of a set of sixteen designs for alterations and additions to the old house. This is a ground plan design, unexecuted, for the addition of a range across the North front of the house with a canted central bay containing an octagonal Hall flanked by a Map Room and Waiting Room with staircases and an Anti Room. With a (detached) flier showing an alternative design for replacing the Drawing Room (now the Dining Room) with a three bay range making the South front of the house symmetrical, for Samuel Egerton circa 1770-1774. Executed in pen and grey and brown washes, by Samuel Wyatt.
