Summary

A music copy book inscribed 'Miss Sykes 1790'. Used by Elizabeth Sykes prior to her marriage in 1806 to Wilbraham Egerton. One of the treasures of the Library collection is the four volume set of manuscript copies of anthems, odes and operas, by Henry Purcell 1658-1695 which were presented to Elizabeth Egerton by her brother Sir Mark Masterman Sykes of Sledmere.
