Full description
Flintlock pistol made in Liege, probably for trade, early 19th century. Octagonal brass barrel, the breech stamped with a post 1810 Liege proof mark. Engraved iron barrel tang. Retained to the stock by 1 barrel pin. Iron ramrod with brass tip. Length 17.7 cm. Calibre 14.5 mm. Wooden full-stock, the fore-end decorated with dome-headed brass tacks. Brass furniture with some engraving, comprising; trigger guard, sideplate stamped "AG", and 1 ramrod pipe. Flintlock of flat form with crude engraving. Flat form cock with a ring-neck. Retained to the stock by 2 sidenails. Overall length: 33cm.
